Free Check Ups

The Extra little things

Free puppy and kitten checks

All new puppies and kittens to the clinic are entitled to a free full check up to ensure that you are giving your pet the very best care right from the start. During this check you will be given information specific to your pets vaccination, worming and feeding requirement.

Repeat Prescriptions

Some pets are on ongoing medications and repeat prescriptions are available from reception, if ordered 24 hours in advance.

As most of these are “prescription only medicines” your pet must be given a check up every 3-6 months (depending on the condition). These regular check ups are essential and we are then able to detect any potential problems early.
Please remember to give 24 hours notice.

Pet supplies

We have a wide selection of products in the reception area for purchase, such as toys, treats, grooming products, collars and leads. As well as these we can recommend and stock a wide range of good quality complete diet foods for pets of all kinds and stages in life.
Come along and see or check out our online store today.

Text reminders

We have the facility to inform you, by text, when your pet is due their vaccination, worming and flea treatments and also of any events/promotions which may be of interest.

Please contact us with up to date contact details if you wish to make use of this service.

House calls

We are always happy to attend to your pet at home. However in many circumstances more complete care is possible at the surgery where full facilities are available. Where possible we ask that you phone us before 10am.

The most common reason for house calls would be euthanasia where the pet is more comfortable at home.

Vetsnow emergency service

Vetsnow are the equivalent to A&E for your pet and are open at nights, weekends and public holidays. If the need should arise and you require help or even just advice when the surgery is closed you will be given the Vetsnow telephone number.

In 2010 they moved premises and now operate out of a purpose built hospital in North Street, Glasgow. This means that there are veterinary surgeons and nurses available during the night and weekends to provide full time supervison of your pet.

It is important to phone the clinic first for any emergencies and you will be informed of the contact number for the emergency service. We are always informed of any treatment given to your pet and any follow up treatment will be given at either our Bearsden or Dumbarton clinic.
