Physiotherapy

Our goal: to help transform your pet's health and well-being

We are lucky to have 3 Veterinary nurses who have completed the BSAVA Merit Award in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Our physiotherapy suite is spacious and well equipped.

The initial assesment will involve an examination by a Veterinary Surgeon and discussion with one of our Veterinary Nurses regarding your pet’s individual requirements.

Our nurse will spend time discussing your pet’s weight, nutritional requirements, general fitness and their home environment. Simple things can be done which can make a massive difference to your cat or dog.

If your pet has any kind of mobility problem such as arthritis, back pain or patients following orthopaedic surgery then we can help.

We can help manage patients with pain, weakness or those that are over weight can benefit from our help. Our staff can also advise you on how to keep your dog fit and healthy to prevent injury and also how to build up strength and fitness.

This service may include the following:

  • Weight management
  • Heat and cold therapy
  • Massage
  • Stretches
  • Physiotherapy exercises
  • Pain management
  • Acupuncture
  • Homeopathy
  • Low Level Laser

Our qualified nurses along with support from our Veterinary Surgeons will design a treatment plan for your pet’s individual needs and will be on hand to reassess your pet as they progress. These plans need to be tailored to your pet and reassessed regularly. We will demonstrate exercises you can do at home and will provide detailed programmes via email.

If you feel your pet may benefit from physiotherapy please call the Bearsden clinic and ask to speak to Laura Irving or Rebecca.
