Home Care
The BEST VET CARE can also happen at Home
At home veterinary care is ideal because:
- Pets are more relaxed in their familiar environment
- There is less stress to owners and pets
- Elderly or physically challenged pet owners don’t have to travel
- There are fewer interruptions – focus is on you and your pet
- Geriatric pets aren’t very mobile and may struggle in a clinic setting v Multi-pet households will find this invaluable
- Families with small children can have a less stressful experience
- It saves time
- You don’t have to worry about pets that hate the car or get car-sick
Veterinary services offered:
- Annual health checks and wellness exams
- Diagnosis and treatment of medical problems
- Holistic therapies
- Low light level laser therapy v Acupuncture
- Vaccinations
- Vaccination alternatives (titre testing)
- Nail trims, anal gland expressions, weight checks
- Repeat prescription checks including blood tests
- Post-operative home care
- Geriatric wellness programs
- Hospice services for pets with terminal illness
- At-home euthanasia
Preparing for a Home Vet visit:
A home veterinary visit may be a new experience for you and your pet, but the familiar environment of your home can be the most comfortable, calming place for your pet to receive care.
- Select a secure area where your pet is less likely to play hide-and-seek under a bed or behind a sofa
- If children are in the house, explain to them what will happen and offer them a quiet seat to watch or entertainment elsewhere in the home.
- Clear a surface, such as the kitchen or dining room table, for an exam area
- Provide enough light to brighten the exam area
- Relax and let us do what we do best
